Therefore, the shipper must ensure planning of loading\/unloading so as not to exceed waiting times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Article 23-B and the Annex establish a new compensation regime for the carrier for waiting time when the 2-hour period is exceeded. This compensation amount may be charged by the transport company to the shipper or consignee when the vehicle's downtime exceeds 2 hours, counted from the previously agreed or scheduled time between the shipper or consignee, up to a limit of 10 hours, based on the values established in the Annex of Decree-Law No. 57\/2021. \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With regard to the loading and unloading of goods, Article 23-C must be carried out by the shipper or consignee of the goods, except in situations provided for in the current collective labor agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the possibility of loading or unloading being carried out by the shipping entity is foreseen, provided it is stipulated in the contractual relationship.
